Court House Avenue Restoration Plaque

On a lookout at the north end of Court House Avenue in Brockville, Ontario a plaque tells of the avenue's millennial restoration.

MILLENNIUM YEAR 2000

To preserve and inspire for future generations and in celebration of the new millennium, the City of Brockville, in partnership with the Brockville Foundation, undertook the revitalization of this historic Court House Avenue streetscape as the community's year 2000 project.

The significant heritage elements of this vista have come to symbolize the sacrifices and accomplishments of our community's distinguished past. The project included the reconstruction of Fulford Fountain, restoration of the War Memorial and the Genereal Brock Monumnent, boulevard landscaping and construction of this plaza.
